Why Mac Mini holds value better than iMac, gram for gram
Desktop Mac resale in UAE follows different rules than laptops:
- Form factor matters more than spec. Mac Mini holds the flattest depreciation curve because it fits any setup — buyers add their own monitor, keyboard, and mouse. iMac depreciates faster because buyers are committed to the integrated 24" display.
- Display condition on iMac. A scratched or stuck-pixel display drops the iMac offer by AED 250–450. We can't economically replace iMac displays in UAE.
- RAM and storage configuration. Configurable Macs (Mini, Studio, Pro) command large premiums for higher RAM and storage tiers — the upgrade cost from Apple was steep, and the resale market recognises that.
Pickup logistics for heavy units
We've built our courier process specifically for desktops. iMac 24" and Mac Studio ship in their original box if you have it — if not, our courier brings padded transit packaging. Mac Pro Tower (A2786) ships with a two-person crew because it's 18kg before peripherals. There's no extra fee — pickup is free regardless of weight.

×0.85 of maxYou can feel minor scratches on the screen but can't easily see them, the body has light wear marks, everything functional. Battery between 75–85%. This is where most devices we buy fall — most owners are pleasantly surprised that their device qualifies as Good rather than Fair.
⚠️Fair
×0.65 of maxVisible screen scratches or small chips, some dents, battery below 75%, but all core functions work. Still worth a meaningful amount — Fair-grade iPhones from 2022 onward routinely fetch six-figure offers from us.

Sign out, wipe, and unplug — fifteen-minute job
- Back up. Time Machine to an external drive or copy what you need to iCloud Drive.
- Sign out of iCloud. Apple menu → System Settings → [Your Name] → Sign Out.
- Erase All Content and Settings. System Settings → General → Transfer or Reset → Erase All Content and Settings.
- Stop at the country picker. Don't connect to Wi-Fi during reinstall — our courier verifies the welcome screen visually.
- Set aside cables, keyboard, mouse, and original box. If you have them, they add AED 50–200 to the offer.
