Devices and condition

• Does unified memory on a Mac Studio count as much as VRAM on a GPU?

Yes, both are the first thing the desk prices. A Mac Studio M3 Ultra with 256GB or 512GB of unified memory can hold a model that no single consumer card fits, so memory lifts its quote sharply. On an RTX card the VRAM is fixed, 32GB on a 5090 and 24GB on a 4090, so condition and generation move the figure instead.

• Can I sell a multi-GPU workstation as one machine?

Yes. Send the CPU, motherboard, memory, storage, power supply and each card's model in the quote form. The desk prices every GPU as its own line and the chassis as another, so you see what each part adds. You can sell the whole rig in one pickup or keep the case and sell only the cards.

• Do you buy a Mac Pro M2 Ultra tower that has been running training jobs?

Yes. Sustained load is what a Mac Pro is built for and it does not lower the offer on its own. The desk checks the chip and memory tier, the PCIe cards fitted, the SSD health and that the tower boots cleanly. Afterburner or other PCIe cards are priced as separate lines if you include them.

• Can a company sell a batch of RTX cards and Mac Studios in one go?

Yes. Up to four units go through the normal desk in one pickup with one bank transfer. Five or more route through the bulk desk with a volume bonus, a corporate invoice, a serial list and a written erase note per Mac, which suits labs, agencies and studios refreshing an AI cluster.

Pickup and areas

• Is collection free for a full tower or rack workstation?

Yes. Free doorstep pickup covers all 7 emirates with no minimum value and no weight surcharge. For a Mac Pro, a rack chassis or a multi-GPU tower the courier brings padded packaging and a second person where needed, checks the machine at the desk in your office or home and pays before leaving.

• Do I need to remove the GPU from my PC before the courier arrives?

No, but it helps. If the card is still installed the courier can test it in your machine and then remove it, or you can pull it in advance and leave it in its anti-static bag. Either way keep the original box if you have it, because a boxed card is easier to resell and earns a small bonus.

Price and payment

• Which AI hardware does SellYourMac.ae pay cash for in the UAE?

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 4090 and RTX 3090 cards, Mac Studio M4 Max and M3 Ultra, Mac Studio M1 and M2 Max or Ultra, the Mac Pro M2 Ultra tower, MacBook Pro M4 Max and M5 Max, Mac mini M4 Pro and complete workstations with one or more GPUs. Every unit is bought outright for AED by cash or bank transfer at the door in Dubai. From other emirates, payment is by bank transfer: part at collection, the rest once the device is checked.

• How do you test an RTX 5090 or RTX 4090 before paying?

The courier or desk seats the card in a test bench, checks that all VRAM reports correctly, runs a short sustained load to watch clocks and temperatures, listens for fan and coil noise and inspects the 12V power connector for heat marks. If the card behaves as described, the quoted figure is paid.

• Is a Mac Studio M3 Ultra worth more than a Mac Studio M4 Max?

Usually, because the Ultra chip is the one Apple pairs with the largest memory tiers, up to 512GB, and that is what local-LLM buyers want. A Mac Studio M4 Max still quotes strongly, especially at 128GB, but memory decides the gap. Send the About This Mac details and both configurations get a written figure to compare.

• What should I enter in the quote form for an AI hardware quote?

For a GPU: the exact model and board partner, VRAM, whether you have the box and cables, and a photo of the card and the power connector. For a Mac: the model, chip, memory, storage and condition from About This Mac. Add your UAE area and the desk returns a written AED figure that holds for 1-5 days.

People also ask

• Should I sell my RTX 4090 now that the RTX 5090 is out?

If you plan to upgrade, sooner is better. Used card values in the UAE step down as the newer generation becomes easier to buy, and the 4090 still holds strong demand because 24GB of VRAM runs most popular local models. A written quote holds for 1-5 days, so you can lock a figure through the quote form before ordering the new card.

• Is a Mac Studio or an RTX GPU better for a local LLM, and does that change resale?

They suit different buyers. A Mac Studio M3 Ultra runs very large models thanks to up to 512GB of unified memory, while an RTX 5090 is faster per token on models that fit in 32GB. Both resell well in the UAE, so the desk buys either and prices it on chip, memory, condition and generation rather than on which camp it belongs to.

• Can I sell a GPU I bought abroad in the UAE?

Yes. Region does not matter for a graphics card, and most RTX 5090 and 4090 units in the UAE were imported. The desk asks for the exact model and board partner, tests the card at pickup and pays the written figure. Only the original invoice is useful if you have it, since it supports a higher offer on a near-new card.

• What lowers an AI hardware offer the most?

On a GPU: memory errors, a scorched or melted power connector, dead fans, a repaired board or a warped PCB from sag. On a Mac: a low memory tier, a failed SSD, dents around the ports or a serial that does not match Apple's record. Missing boxes cost only a small amount. Mention any of these in the quote form for an accurate figure.
