Your broken MacBook is worth more than you think. We bought 847 of them last year

The question we hear daily: "Should I get the screen fixed first, then sell?" The answer is almost always no. Three quick examples:

• MacBook Air M1 cracked screen. Authorised screen replacement: AED 550–700. Increase in our offer for a working vs cracked screen: AED 350–450. You lose AED 100–250 by repairing first.
• MacBook Pro M2 dead battery. Authorised battery: AED 350–450. Increase in our offer once the battery works: AED 200–250. You lose AED 100–250.
• MacBook Pro M3 keyboard failure. Top-case replacement: AED 650–950. Increase in our offer: AED 200–300. You lose AED 350–650.

The rare exception: a swollen battery on an otherwise pristine M2/M3 Air, where the battery-only swap from a trusted local repair (AED 80–100) can break even. For everything else, sell as-is.

1. Send three photos on WhatsApp. Front of the MacBook (powered on if possible, attempted if not), close-up of any damage (cracks, dents, water marks), and the back showing the A-number. Tell us what works and what doesn't.
2. We quote within minutes. Not hours, not "we'll get back to you" — a real AED figure based on what we've paid for the same condition recently.
3. Free pickup. Our courier comes to your home or office. They confirm the condition matches the photos. If something's worse than described, you see a revised offer on the spot — accept it or decline with no fee.
4. Same-time payment. Sent the moment you accept the offer, via UAE bank transfer, cash on collection.

We refurbish and resell broken devices through certified repair partners. A broken-screen MacBook Pro M3 we pay AED 2,200 for costs us roughly AED 450 to repair and sells refurbished for AED 3,200. The AED 550 spread covers our courier, our refurbishment overhead, and our risk on devices that turn out worse than described.

If your MacBook still boots, do the standard sign-out + Erase All Content workflow before our courier arrives (Apple menu → System Settings → [Your Name] → Sign Out, then General → Transfer or Reset → Erase All Content).

If it doesn't boot, that's normal — we handle it. Every broken MacBook we receive goes through hardware-level SSD destruction or factory secure-erase before refurbishment. We document the process and can send you the completion certificate on request. Your data does not survive our refurb pipeline.
