What do cycle count and maximum capacity actually mean?
A cycle is one full discharge of the battery's capacity, added up across partial charges, so using half the battery on two days counts as one cycle. How does battery health change a MacBook quote?

Should you replace the battery before selling a MacBook?
Usually not.
