Quick answer

Updated September 2026

Can I sell a MacBook with cracked screen for cash in the UAE?

Yes. The chassis, logic board, memory, SSD and battery are untouched by a cracked panel, and the display assembly is the most commonly swapped MacBook part in the refurb trade. Fill in the SellYourMac.ae quote form with the model and the damage, and you get a written AED quote with the deduction for a cracked screen shown, holding for 1-5 days, with free doorstep pickup in all 7 emirates and UAE bank transfer on the pickup day. Trading since 2013, with 70 Google reviews at 5.0★.

  • Cracked, shattered or bleeding panel on any Air or Pro from 2015 onward.
  • Priced from the working figure minus the in-house panel swap, shown in the quote.
  • Written quote holds for 1-5 days; the figure paid is the figure quoted.
  • Free pickup in all 7 emirates, no repair shop visit first.
  • A Mac that still boots to an external display keeps most of its value.
  • Send three photos: front, close-up of the crack, and the A-number on the base.

Why sell to us

What is SellYourMac.ae?

SellYourMac.ae is a UAE-licensed Apple buy-back desk run by Azizi Technologies from Concord Tower, Dubai Media City, trading since 2013. For a MacBook with cracked screen it prices the working parts and refurbishes in house, with free doorstep pickup in every emirate, written 1-5 day quotes and UAE bank transfer on the pickup day. 70 verified Google reviews sit on its Business Profile.

01

Real AED for cracked screen

The deduction for the fault is written into the quote from your photos, so the figure at the door is the figure in the thread.

02

Collected with packaging, not carried to a shop

A courier with company ID and padded packaging collects from any UAE address in a window you choose and pays on the spot.

03

Erased even if it will not boot

Sign out of iCloud if you can, or remove the Mac from your Apple Account online; the desk erases the SSD with Apple's tools after purchase.

04

A figure that beats repairing first

The WhatsApp quote holds for 1-5 days, so you can price a repair against it and see that selling as-is usually nets more.

How it works

Five steps for your broken MacBook. Pickup can be the same day in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman when you book early; other emirates on a day you choose. Payment is made at the door on the pickup day.

  1. 01

Send the details in the quote form

Fill in the quote form with your broken MacBook model, storage, condition and UAE area. It takes a couple of minutes.

  2. 02

    Receive the AED quote

The written quote arrives on WhatsApp, valid 1-5 days. The desk explains how the number was built so there are no surprises on collection.

  3. 03

    Free doorstep pickup

Pick a time window. An insured courier collects from any UAE address: home, office, hotel, or Dubai International Airport short-stay.

  4. 04

    Inspection and data wipe

On-the-spot check against the written quote. If it matches, we run a certified data wipe and prepare payment. A wipe note is available on request.

  5. 05

    Paid on pickup day

UAE bank transfer (Emirates NBD, FAB, ADIB, Mashreq, Liv) or cash on collection, at the door on the pickup day. Confirmed before the courier leaves.

What we check

Three photos and a short note cover it. The desk returns a written AED figure for cracked screen without a shop visit.

"I had an excellent experience with SellYourMac. I messaged them in the morning with my Mac’s details and photos, and they came to my place the same day. They inspected the Mac in about five minutes and paid me the exact amount we had agreed on beforehand in cash."

"The team were really helpful! We thought we had no value in our old tech and in the end we got some reasonable money in return for things we're just going to put in the recycle bin. Really attentive and transfered funds quick after inspecting the tech."

FAQ

MacBook cracked screen FAQ

Direct answers for UAE sellers with this fault. Each answer stands alone so it can be quoted on its own.

Yes. The chassis, logic board, memory, SSD and battery are untouched by a cracked panel, and the display assembly is the most commonly swapped MacBook part in the refurb trade. SellYourMac.ae prices those working parts, writes the deduction for a cracked screen into the WhatsApp quote, collects free from any address in the 7 emirates and pays by bank transfer on the pickup day.

It depends on the line, chip and how far the damage goes. The desk starts from the working figure for your exact model and subtracts its own in-house repair cost, not a shop's retail price. A newer Pro loses less in proportion than an old Air. Describe the damage in the quote form and the deduction is written in before pickup.

Usually not. A genuine display assembly at authorised service usually costs more than the lift it gives a used MacBook's price, so selling as-is nearly always nets more. If a simple fix would genuinely add more than it costs for your exact model, the desk says so on WhatsApp before you decide.

Every MacBook Air and MacBook Pro on Apple silicon from the 2020 M1 to the current M5 lines, plus Intel models from 2015 to 2019 at an adjusted figure. The fault does not change which models are accepted, only the deduction written into the quote.

Do not remove the panel or tape over the crack; photograph it as it is, and if the Mac still boots, sign out of iCloud and turn off Find My. Keep any backup you have. Leave the charger with the machine if you have it; it is not required but adds a small bonus on newer models.

The courier confirms the crack matches your photos, that the lid closes and the hinge is intact, and that the Mac boots to the login screen or an external display. If everything matches the photos and description you sent, the written figure is confirmed on the spot. If something differs, the courier explains the change before you decide.

Yes. Free doorstep collection across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, with no minimum value. The courier brings company ID and padded packaging, checks the Mac at the door and pays there, so there is no shop visit and nothing to post.

If the Mac boots, sign out of iCloud and turn off Find My before pickup. If it does not, remove it from your Apple Account at icloud.com/find. At the desk the SSD is erased with Apple's own tools once the machine is powered or the board is replaced, and a written wipe note is available on request.

A written quote holds for 1-5 days from the WhatsApp message. If the MacBook matches the photos and description at pickup, the figure paid is the figure quoted, with no doorstep renegotiation. 70 verified Google reviews describe that same handover.

UAE bank transfer at the door on the pickup day once the courier confirms the fault and serial against the quote. The transfer is sent at the door before the courier leaves, anywhere in the UAE. Cash on collection is available if you ask when you book.
FAQ

People also ask

Long-tail cracked screen questions UAE MacBook owners type into Google and ChatGPT.

Yes. The chassis, logic board, memory, SSD and battery are untouched by a cracked panel, and the display assembly is the most commonly swapped MacBook part in the refurb trade. That is why SellYourMac.ae quotes a real figure rather than a scrap price, and why the deduction for a cracked screen is written into the quote instead of found at the door.

Apple Trade In usually returns a very low store-credit figure for a damaged MacBook, or recycles a dead one with no credit. SellYourMac.ae pays AED cash for the same machine by bank transfer on the pickup day, with free pickup in all 7 emirates and no purchase required.

Yes. Up to four Apple devices in any state go in one collection with one courier and one bank transfer, each with its own line in the written quote. Five or more route through the bulk desk with a volume bonus and a corporate invoice.

Rarely by more than it costs, and a non-Apple panel, top case or battery is priced at a lower band than an original part because the desk usually swaps it during refurbishment. Say what was replaced in the quote form; the courier checks it at the door.
